Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Taras Kachka has said Ukrainian poultry producers may enter the Chinese market before the end of 2019.
“Ukraine’s government officials are working with their Chinese counterparts on beginning poultry exports to China, according to Taras Kachka, Ukraine’s deputy economy minister. He was optimistic that an agreement could be reached by the end of the year,” Bloomberg wrote.
“There is some legal and bureaucratic stuff to do, but there is a plan to sign the protocol and hold inspections,” he added.
As UNIAN reported earlier, in June 2018, Ukraine and China signed a memorandum on cooperation and promoting mutual trade in poultry meat.
